Find Plays & Monologues

Types of Searches:

Author: use this search if you want to find plays or books by an author, dramaturg, playwright, etc.

  • Ex: shakespeare, william

Keyword: use this search if you only have partial information.

  • Ex: hansberry raisin (will find items containing both terms and some books about  the play)

Keyword-Boolean: use this search if you want to combine search terms. Remember to use and, or, not between terms.

  • Ex: hansberry and american

Subject: use this search to find items about a specific topic or playwright.

  • Ex: american drama
  • Ex: beckett, samuel

Title: use this search if you know the exact title of a play.

  • Ex: raisin in the sun
